Plan B Skateboards

By Sk8erBoy

In 1991 some of the best pros at the time wanted to start something new that nobody has seen ever before in the skateboarding industry! They called it Plan B Skateboards! Mike Tenasky was the creator and master mind behind Plan B skateboards. He got some of the best pros at the time including Danny Way, Matt Hensley, Mike Carroll, Sean Scheffey, and Rick Howard.

Plan B Skateboards took over the skating world by storm with their awesome videos, amazing boards, and other products! They also added Pat Duffy, Colin Mckay, Sal Barbier, Ronnie Bertino, and Jeremy Wray through out the early 90's.

In 1994 tragedy struck Plan B skateboards, when Mike Tenasky was killed in a tragic car accident. Plan B Skateboards was then left in the hands of Danny Way and Colin Mckay. A few years later Plan B Skateboards died out. Until a few years ago!

In 2005 with help from Syndrome Distribution Plan B was reborn! The new Plan B team included Danny Way, Colin Mckay, Paul Rodriguez, Ryan Gallant, PJ Ladd, Brian Wenning, Jereme Rogers, and in January 2007 Ryan Sheckler. Plan B Skateboards is once again one of the best teams in the skateboard industry.

Great hub, particularly the videos. The name did make me think what kind of "backup" this was, like the boards would be less expensive or something. Overall, they're pretty rad though.

What a really enjoyable page that i could say took me back to my youth lol. My father actually made me a skateboard (early 80's) lol. Yup!! made it from a piece of shaped board and rollerskate wheels. The board worked a treat except when you wanted to turn lol. Many a wall was hit!!

This is a great hub on skateboarding. Did you see the latest success magazine? Tony Hawk and his skateboard related business was the cover story.

I used be an avid skateboarding as well, until I took a nasty spill going down a steep hill. I guess you could say I was past my prime. Anyway, I havent been on a skateboard since.

I love watching skateboarders. My grandson is an avid skateboarder and can really let it all hang out. Amazing moves these kids can perform on a good skateboard.

I wish these were around when I was his age!

I will pass this along to him! Great stuff!
